Context
Most spending tools start by asking for your bank credentials, then assume you will keep coming back to a dashboard. The credential step is a privacy question, and it is also a coverage problem: aggregators only reach a handful of markets. The habit is the harder part: manual tracking works right up until the evening you cannot face the spreadsheet.

The problem
Make logging a purchase quick enough that the habit survives a bad week, without asking anyone to hand over bank access.
What I did
- Built entry around the two lowest-effort inputs available: photograph the receipt, or type the expense as a sentence.
- Put AI on the step people actually abandon (categorizing and summarizing) so the ledger stays useful without upkeep.
- Kept it bank-connection-free by design, which doubles as coverage: it works the same in markets no aggregator serves.
- Designed and shipped solo on the same AI-powered workflow as my other products.
